This company (ies) is very very sneaky! I signed up for my free 30 day trial on 10/17, I indeed read the VERY fine print that stated I would get my 30 day free trial but had to cancel within two weeks/14 days or be charged the $89.31 for the next month supply, this I understood and agreed with.
Included in the very fine print was a statement saying that "unless I uncheck the box above" I would be automatically enrolled in Price Limbo and Fit Factory... There was NO box to Uncheck so I figured since was not given an option I could not be enrolled in something I had no opportunity to disagree with... Wrong. Within a few minutes I had an email "welcoming" me to Price Limbo... I immediately called the phone number listed for customer service and after holding for 10 minutes was told that I couldn't use that number to complain and was given a number for a Central Coast Pharmecueticals (?) was on hold with this phone number for another 20 minutes before hanging up!
I finally tried the phone number for canceling my order for the Extreme Acai, got through and held for 23 minutes before a young lady named Jennifer answered... I was very ticked by this time, I told them I NEVER agreed to these other enrollments and that their wording was very sneaky..."jennifer" told me she would take care of it and would cancel both the Price Limbo and the Fit Factory... I assumed the matter was taken care of!
Today I was notified by my bank that a charge had come through for $29.95 for FIT FACTORY!!! I called back the Extreme Acai Berry customer service number and got a VERY rude individual named Jaime, he was VERY unprofessional. I will not lie, at this point I was livid and not the friendliest person to begin with, but this man was just downright arrogant and rude. I explained to him what had transpired on the 17th and he informed me that the "jennifer" I spoke with on that day did NOT tell me that she would cancel the Fit Factory because she did not have that authority... I informed him that indeed she DID tell me she was canceling it... He argued back and forth with me about this and finally he says to me, "well, she is no longer here anyway". At one point I made a comment about how they must not hire the brightest individuals if she would just make stuff up to get a customer off the phone, he informed me he was suma cum laude and very intelligent, he told me he was going to terminate the call. I asked to speak to his supervisor and what do you know, his supervisor was not available, the supervisor was out on leave?!?!?! How convenient!
So, that is where my experience with this company ends... As of today I canceled the "membership" with extreme acai berry, having NEVER received my FREE sample to begin with!!!
They are scammers and I would highly suggest people steer clear of this company and their "free trial offer"... It was a huge mistake on my part to even think about trying them out, I should have followed my gut instinct and NEVER given them any of my information... Only the future will tell if I get anymore "unauthorized" charges to my account... Which I am closing tomorrow!!!
