Paid $56.20 to download legally, it is a free download and it is illegal

I was charged $56.20 $8.37 to join this site to be able to down load legally, however I then find out that this site is a free download but more importantly it is ilegal to use this way of downloading. I believe that this Company have conned me out of a lot of money.
