I needed a good Zip program, someone suggested I look into winrar, found a site that looked like a legitimate purchase of the program, complete with pictures of the product box and "download now for $19.95", seemed a reasonable price to me and everything looked legitimate, shortly after entering all my credit card info i was now redirected to a download site, it looked very wrong, it had many downloads of many types a programs to chose from, I found the program I was trying to get and installed it only to find it was a free trial version of the product that I could have gotten anywhere on the internet with out ever using my credit card... Now I was concerned...
I called my bank right away to cancel the transaction and the card I used... Unfortunately that was only the beginning... The bank credited the initial charge of $70 but the following day the card was changed for not only the $70 again but an addition $25 as well...
Now I was forced to file a fraud claim, unfortunately after all was said and done it was decided by my bank that I did not go through the proper channels as set out by softwareHQ for canceling my account with them and the bank has allowed the company to keep my $95. Luckily i did cancel the card and this company cannot get another dime out of me!
