This company showed up on my credit card statement as "AP9*SHOPPINGESSENTIA-V 888-999-0564 CT". I called this number explaining I had never heard of them. They claimed that I "subscribed" to their service by clicking on a banner ad at "Restaurant.com".
They agreed to cancel the membership and refund the $14.95 charge. Just to be safe, I will formally dispute the charge with my credit card company.
I certainly did not enter my credit card number in association with joining shopping essentials. Shame on "Restaurant.com" for "passing through" credit card information.
