Excessive fees, poor customer service, holds your hard earned money. Lidkping

Okay, I found Get A Freelancer while looking for some graphic design work. It looked like a good service, so I signed up. A couple days later, I got my first job from them.

I designed a logo for a business and they liked it so they escrowed me the money through getafreelancer.com.

Okay.

The job was a $30 job and they take a $5 dollar fee, alright, down to $25.in order to take your money out, you need to have $30 dollars in your account. So I decided rather than try to find more work on GAF, which is almost impossible for new users, I decide to deposit $5 into my account. Bad idea. They charge a flat 30 cent fee plus 2. Whatever percent. So I deposit $5 and get charged around 40 cents.

Okay.

So I go to withdraw my money. $1 fee to withdraw. Not only that, they hold onto your money for two weeks until they release it! I just gave them $6.40 to hold my hard earned money hostage until I meet their demands and wait two weeks.

The way I see it, there is no need to hold my money when I just gave them $6.40. M That is a lot of money when you are only getting back $23.60

This is obviously set up to rip off new users. I am sure if a new user was to just give up, GAF would just pocket all of the money. Another clue to a scam, The minimum you can withdraw is $30. The minimum you can bid on a project is $30. The $5 fee brings you to $25 which cannot be withdrawn. So, for someone that already is so turned off, the will either A) never come back and leave the money, or B) give more money to GAF and have to wait.

Avoid GAF and find work elsewhere!
