I bought into Top Producer at a convention in New Orleans to the tune of $400 or so, which included unlimited lifetime telephone support.
The telephone support was invaluable because the system is very difficult to master.
I went thru their various versions, 3.0,4.0,5.0 and finally 6.0. My big mistake, besides buying the program, was getting a cheaper price for the 6.0 upgrade by giving up unlimited warranty.By that time, I had mastered TP and enjoyed its various features.
Here is the problem. The minds at TopProducer decided to go to the next level, which, in my opinion, actually hurts the user because the next level is to pay a monthly fee, use the program until you stop paying the fee. Therein, I believe, lies the real problem. All, of the data on your clients is now stored in "their" computer and when the stops paying them, the user looses access to everything uploaded to them.
In my world, that is not going to happen.in my opinion, wWhat the company has going for them is that many of the people in the real estate industry either are not smart enough to do without something easy like paying TP, or, they have so much money that another toy-even a $70.00 month toy—does not mean that much to them.
I don't know... I value each and everything that I put my time into. My clients are mine. No more money from me to Top Producer. I can do just fine with Windows Office, and, excel.
