This is the 3rd time IK9 Privacy Matters has got into my account and charged me. They have a habit of charging 19.95 to 29.95 then charging a lot of 1.00 amounts. When I call the 877 number from their site I was treated like they couldn't hear me at all. So I called back and got the same thing. Like many others I too am pondering how they got ahold of my information seeing as how I had never heard of the company before these charges showed up on my checking account.
The first time I called I told them that I wanted the charges to stop and got the same thing a few others on here did from them. They told me to wait and see what "great" things they had to offer. I learned quickly that these hour or longer arguments will get you nowhere with Privacy Matters.
My bank has been great and they have stopped payment and taken my fraud reports with no problem. Al tho the bank keeps telling me to close the account I feel as though doing so makes me suffer even more.
I live hand to mouth and have 4 girls to feed as well as myself and my wife. Closing the account only means that I get charged to do so, and this leeds to less money for my family. I am also paid by direct deposit, so I would have to go threw the hassle of all the paper work. Not to mention the delay in pay with all the rigamor of having to do the change.
Al tho I love my freedom in this country I believe that the same freedom is allowing rip off artist to invade my privacy and steal from my family. This company is no different than the man/woman who breaks into your home, steals your car, or picks your pocket. The people working for them are nothing more than an accomplice, the look out, or get away driver. There should be prison time for them all.
