I hold the Power of Attorney for my 94 year old mother and I am writing on her behalf. She called me today all excited because she had "won over one million dollars". I immediately told her to trash the letter as it was a scam.
She called me back four times asking me to come to her retirement apartments and read the letter. My wife went to visit her and returned with the letter. I went on the internet to see if I could find any reference to CRA in Las Vegas.
I was directed to the complaint site and joined the group immediatly.
I am going to file a complaint with the FTC and the U.S. Postal Service to see if anything can be done about these vultures. I believe that using the mails to defraud is a Federal offense - but I am not an attorney so do not know for sure.
