On November 14th I replied to an E-bay ad for a Sony SZ680 laptop asking how much the shipping cost to Australia. I got an email back saying that the shipping was $79 and if i traded outside of ebay he would take $100 off the price.
I agreed and wired the cash through my bank. The next day i got an email back saying that the quoted shipping was incorrect and I needed to pay and additional $150 because the price Yevgeniy K quoted was for standard shipping taking up to 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks i waited and still no sign of the laptop so I started to e-mail asking where it was.
After a month Yevgeniy K said that he started an investigation with the USPS and they were trying to locate the package. After another 2 weeks and another 10 e-mails he fianly got back to me and said that the USPS lost the package and he is waiting for the claim to clear.
After 6 Months and no longer responding to my e-mails i'm filing this to warn everyone to stay away from this company and don't get ripped off like so many people have before.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC, have notified the New York police department, e-bay and now any future customers.
