My wife was ordering from Dr. Leonards web site. She clicked on a link that asked if she's like to save $10 on her order. She reviewed the information and closed the window, but apparently our credit card information was sent to Shopper Discounts & Rewards. Shopper Discounts started billing us $10 per month - without notifying us we had subscribed to their service - no "welcome" letter, no explanation of their services, etc. It's my understanding that Shopper Discounts provides money back to Dr. Leonards (or any other web site) that provides customers to Shopper Discounts this way. Because of this unethical collusion, you avoid Shopper Discounts AND the company that has an affliation with Shopper Discounts. You will need to call Shopper Discounts to determine who provided them with your credit card information. Apparently there are MANY companies affliated with them. I noticed blogs complaining about Shopper Discounts starting early in 2006 and the company is still around 2 years later collecting money from many, many unsuspecting victims.
