When I signed up with Computer Career Institute in Palm Desert California, I thought I was enrolling in a program that will qualify me as a web promotion specialist. My nightmare began with this company when the program started.
I quickly found out that the responses to my questions regarding the program were not addressed as I excepted. There was absolutely no support during the program and the toll free number was never answered.
It seems to me that whoever is running the program has no interest in successfully presenting the program. This became very suspicious to me but the program was set up in a very convincing way that will make anyone believe work will be immediately available after completing the program. Computer Career Institute's advertisement claimed to provide job placement upon completion of the course and I also received an email that confirmed that I will be a part of their job placement. I waited for a few weeks and I decided to send an email to remind CCI about their job placement and the money back guarantee. The response that I received was very disturbing to me so I started an investigation on the company. I found that there were 41 complaints on the BBB website against Computer Career Institute. There were other sites had several complaints from people that took the six hour course. It was then clear to me that CCI have a serious compliance problem and they have a total disregard for complaints alleged by consumers. The company continued to take advantage of consumers that are looking to work from home. This a get rich quick scam. Computer Career Institute will make up any reason not to honor a refund. Their advertisement was misrepresented.
I have every reason to believe that my blogs were never reviewed because there were several emails that I sent to CCI so that the blogs could be addressed but no help was offered. A true school will evaluate the certification exercise.
I have the right to know my score or evaluation on a test. I expected computer career institute to show me my corrected blog. A student could write a URL blog of any kind and will receive a certificate because there was no indication whatsoever that the blogs were being checked for accuracy. I signed up with computer career institute so that I can learn a skill.
I was not able to demonstrate that I can answer the first part of the question but they issued a certificate anyway. This question was a part of what I needed to get certified.ccI should be able to verify the blogs and send me feedbacks on the blogs. I spoke to another student that said she did not learn about blogging. This was supposed to be the same program. The fortune 500 companies have absolutely nothing to do with Computer Career Institute. Anyone can sign up with these companies and no fees are required. Computer Career Institute does not represent these fortune 500 companies in any way and cannot offer any jobs placement to students directly through their company. Apparently, computer career institute does not have any job placement program.
This is a part of their scam to convince people to sign up and they always have one seat left. This is a part of their advertisement: Many companies will pay you back the cost of the course through their tuition reimbursement programs, and there's even a money back guarantee: if CTI can't get you working with a Fortune 500 company once you complete the course, they will give you a 100% refund!" This is another way to intimidate and brain wash consumers.
The campaign is on to inform thousands of consumers and other agencies about Computer Career Institute. When I clicked on CCI's website today, I noticed that their website goes to an oops page not found.
I also noticed that one of the websites associated with Computer Career Institute have been removed. There will be complaints filed against Computer Career Institute through out the country. The goal is to stop the scam. Watch out!!! Computer Career Institute might relocate or change their name.
My researched shows that CCI had a different address in 2007 and there were several students that had problems with CCI. The business is still located in Palm Desert, California. I also found out that there are two similar websites. One has an address at the very end of the page and the other site has a phone # completely different from what was listed with the BBB. I compared both websites and I saw a few differences. People have to look closely to find the difference. Computer Career Institute will probably reopen again with a different address. I should have done my research earlier. I will present my case with supporting documents so I can get my money back.
