I signed up with Verizon Superpages back in 2004. After receiving terrible service from them i decided to cancel my account. Over 3 years later i recieve a call from a collection agency demanding i pay them $590.00 or they will send my name to the credit bureau. I called Idearc Media and asked them to explain to me how i owe them $590.00. They said that my account was renewed automatically because i did not call to cancel (which i absolutely did) and that my credit card was not valid when they were attempting to charge me. Even though my credit card did not exist they continued to charge me from April - July. I was not contacted or notified about this unitl sometime in 2007. I told them that these charge were not correct and that i should not have to pay them because i canceled my account. They did not even want to hear my part of the story and told me i have to pay. The people i spoke with were ganging up on me at the same time, and almost seemed that they enjoyed me being upset about the situation. The two reps that i spoke with were Amber at Extension 8763 and Sam at Extension 6972. Amber worked in Billing and Support. The main phone number is 866-803-0854.
