'Blue Hippo pulled a bait-and-switch on the purchase of a new Premier Desktop computer 2008. The price of the one that was advertised at $25 a month, I was tol;d was no longer available.instead they offered me a computer at $69.98 a month. I paid $99 down by electronic transfer from my debit card. I cancelled after reading about 1400 complaints on the Internet about their company. They refused to give me a cash refund, saying that they would give me a store credit. My attorney advised me that while under Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, it is unlawful for me to finance anything. I explained this to the in writing. I never signed a written contract. They never sent a contract. I am on disability and cannot afford the payments. I have had a lot of medical problems and was involved in an auto accident in which I spent 3 months in a coma. I lost the use of my left arm, hand, wrist and fingers so I am unable to work to make any extra money. I have turned BlueHippo over to my bank fraud unit. I have reported them to BBB, FTC, and Governor's Ofice of Consumer Affairs. If necessary, I will get me an attorney to recover my losses.
