I answered an ad in a Wichita Kansas newspaper for a home based business, vision training selling online vision products. I left a message and later that day got a call from a Brad Jarvis. He reviewed the business and was very personable. Over the next few days he spoke with me by phone and email. I had located his internet site and attempted to find infromation out through the better business bureau in Parker Colorado. They did not have any information on the company that was bad so I agreed to pay $750 and sign a contract. I was advised by Brad that he would be contacting me for online training and setting up a website for me to respond to customers. The money was overnighted on a Saturday. Brad was supposed to call me on a Sunday and go over training on the internet. Conveniently he called an hour before the meeting was to take place leaving a message that he could not do it and was emailing information that I could watch and review to at least get started. Nothing came.
On Monday I called over fifteen times he finally answered in the afternoon and stated that he had left me a voice mail that morning and did not understand why I did not get it. He stated that we still needed to go over training and he scheduled again for that Wednesday evening. Wednesday came and he never called. I sent him emails and have continued to call. I did receive a message back from a Mike Crowe stating that Brad was no longer with the company. Mike asked me to give him sometime to get back on track. At this time I knew I had been scammed and sent an email demanding my money back. After some time I got a reply from Mike that he would be sending my check back certified. This obviously never came.
I called the Better Business Bureau in Parker Colorado back. This time I spoke with a woman who advised me that they had complaints against Preps Vision but the company had been dissolved and was no longer in business. They advised me that the owner was a Dave Perotti. I turned around and filed a report with the Kansas Attorney General, my own personal attorney, the Federal Trade Commision and a local news reporter in the Denver area who deals with scams. I believe that the man behind this is a Dave Perotti I have checked some on the internet and this individual seems to be all over. This infact is a scam
