I was contacted by phone in July by David Reid of the Shanklin Group which is related to Mark Warren's enterprises (I had purchased his package The Ultimate Weatlh Package) and also goes by the names of Shanklin/PFX and Precision FX, Inc. He lured me into talking with John Leavitt, Sr. Director of the Shanklin Group because he would show me an opportunity to make $5000 to $6000 a month with a website that I would build under their guidance and would take from 5-10 hours a week to construct. They would provide eight 30-minute mentoring sessions and a hosting/training service operated by Omni Business Solutions and lots of help.
John Leavitt was very persuasive and I agreed to sign the contract trusting in his assurance of sure profits. He stated among other things that I would be able to make payments on the credit card debt with the profits from the website within a few weeks time. He immediately charged my credit card for $3,489.00. Besides that I was going to be charged $29.95 a month for hosting services of my website. I was assigned a coach and the training began shortly thereafter. I was promised among other things that my coaching sessions would be recorded and that I could access them any time I wanted to. This was never implemented.
I did everything my meantor told me to do and spent many more hours building my site than they had stated that it would take. I ended up with a large content -rich website with lots of ads and affiliate links, but was never able to make a penny off of it. I found out that my coach didn't even have a money-makaing website herself.
After my meantoring sessions were completed I was promised by my coach that I could still reach her by e-mail but she never answered any of my emails. I was contacted by Jeremy Cobb, director of Omni Business Solutions by e-mail coaxing me to subscribe to their continuing education program at the tune of $29.95 a month over and above the $29.95 hosting service. I replied that I did not want to do that since so far I had not made a penny with my website and did not want to throw good money after bad. I never received a reply.
I made several attempts to reach John Leavitt by email and phone but my messages were never returned. I finally contacted the BBB and filed a complaint re the Shanklin Group and Omni Business Solutions. The latter responded by promsing me to give me the continued education for free. However, I was never able to access the program and my repeated emails to Jeremy Cobb concerning this problem and request for help went unanswered. The Shanklin Group never responded to the claim filed by me with the BBB. I filed a follow-up claim regarding Omni Business Solutions with the BBB in January.
