The whole process took months but we finally got our money back. No thanks to pacific web works, we filed a claim with our credit card company and told them that we did not authorize those charges on our account.
Our experience with this SCAM started out with my husband looking around on the internet and trying to find something interesting on ebay. (I think, he was never really clear on that) Either way, he thinks that he did authorize the charge for the 14.95. He says that it was some sort of trial. 2 months later I was checking the credit card that he normally uses and realizes that it was over the limit. At first i was mad at him, then I took a closer look and saw that he did not make those charges. I called the company and got the run around. Over an hour on the phone and I finally got a human. When I said I wanted my money back since we did not have their service the lady had the gaul to giggle! She said that I needed to read the fine print. She said that when he signed up he clicked the agree to terms and conditions button, and the monthly fees were in there.
I told her to cancel the service then and she asked my state, Alaska I said, and she was able to cancel it from ONLY that! WTF? Are you freaking kidding me?
I hung up after that and filed the dispute with my credit card company, that had its own set of issues but in the end we got 2 months back. Just under 100 bucks.
All I can say is that if they get you try filing a dispute with the credit card company, it worked for me. And. If it says x amount of dollars for the trial version. You probably have to cancel the rest of it on your own!
