After making the stupid mistake of signing up for this site (Myspace.com / Yahoo / MSN Hotmail Please be aware of this!!!) I was very unhappy to say the least. I found this site (usacomplaints.com) after about 2 weeks of being a member to fling.com. I read everyone elses comments and reports about this sort of thing and decided to do a little bit of espionage. Below is an actual conversation that I had with one of the girls i met on fling. She insisted that we should talk on Yahoo Messenger. So I of course humored her. I did this so that people who join this site would know what to expect, I noticed that all the other reports show copies of the email and stuff but no chat transcript. I wanted to do my part to help people not get duped the way I did. Think with your brain not your crotch and don't give out credit card information on the internet. Even the most secure and safe looking sites can be false. Check the lower right hand of your internet browser for a little lock to make sure that your transaction is SSL secure and look for the "s" in the http (s*) if you do feel the urge to try this bs out for yourself, BE CAREFUL! I thought that Fling.com was totally fine since there are so many links to it on Myspace and such. I guess money wins in the end... MySpace used to be safe for people of all ages to actually use, but now I am not so sure. I mean if I am seeing all these ads, then who is to say that your 12 year old son/daughter isn't seeing it too? AND what if they signup for the free account? You don't need a credit card, and there is porn splattered all over the first page. Please help me in my quest to stop this crap from ruining the internet for the future. WE NEED TO DEVELOP A BETTER SYSTEM Children are not safe from porn even if you use parental controls, and credit card fraud is running rampant. What can be done to stop this? I can't Stop it all by myself, I welcome encouraging ideas and arguments to my points, please keep yourself safe. Thanks complaint! Ps the only modification that has been done to this im transcript is that i removed my last name for my safety. I DID NOT HOWEVER REMOVE HER Yahoo Messanger ID. Please try this for yourself you dont have to be a member of fling.com or even know what it is. Just ask her to chat, and within minutes you will see a screen kinda like what is down below.
Keep in mind I actually started this IM with the intention of getting her to try to get me to join a cam site, or some other pay-me type page. The comments that I make are based on having almost this exact same conversation with at least 15 other YIM members that I met on fling.com. I was finally tired of it, so I decided to try to get "her" to provide me with the same scam so that i could post the results here.
