On June 24 I purchased a service online to have my url submitted to all the major search engines, I paid for my service and got an email from Emily F. She assured me they will take a look at my website and submitt my url to search engines, I started getting plenty of emails from search engines forwarded by submit-my-url.com, I asked why are the mails forwared not directly from the search engines, they email me back with 'thats how it works', then weeks later I took the
time to look at these emails and found that my url was submitted to search engines under Crafts, I wrote back and their explanation was that, my rep made the decision to list my url under Crafts because I sell beads not Jewelry, well I wrote back telling them that if they had checked my site as they promised to do before submitting my url, they would have notices that I don't sell loose beads, but Jewelry, they promised to take care of the problem, I never heard from them since, I notice no
change in the traffic pattern going thru my store, they had told me otherwise, I wrote to ask weather this could be because of the category my url was submitted under, I heard nothing, I waited several weeks and wrote again checking on the status of my submission from them, nothing, I wrote and expressed that I was not getting the service that was promised, and asked that someone get back to me and that even thou I had asked numerous times about a telephone number to call them, none had been provided, I am still waiting.
I have lost $100 for a service I never recieved, I
took the first few dollars trickled in to my business to get exposure, and I have lost my money and did not get satisfaction, my business is suffering as I could have used that money to pay for the rented space online, I know this is not much money, but to a starting and starving business it feels like a fortune.
