QwikFliks
Is a ripoff., Worldwide

I am here to warn others about Qwikfliks. It is an online movie rental business. I had heard about it from a friend at work. You can rent unlimited DVD's for a monthly fee. Sounds good, huh?

I had no problem at all the first month. The second month the website would not let me rent anything. I would click the "rent" button and get various errors. I wrote to them and received a response immediately. The problem had been fixed, blah blah blah. Of course, there was no making up for the time that I had lost, but that was OK, I was back to renting my movies.

I was able to access the site and rent somthing two times. I wrote to them again... This time with a response that I need to clean out my internet build up. Ok, I work in the computer business and that is the first thing that you always tell people... So I had done that the very first time that I had trouble. Of course, I tried it again. I wrote back telling them that I had already done everything from my end that I can do. There is a problem with their site! Please fix it or I will cancel. I can't afford to just give money away!

I get an email saying that their techs were looking into it. I have yet to hear anything from them. Of course they are still charging my card.

I try to be patient... But I have had enough. I have returned all movies, kept my end of the bargain. I went to the site to simply cancel my membership. I click the "cancel" link, and guess what? You can't cancel! I got a page that says that the last 3 movies that I have rented are still out. It threatened to charge me full price for the movies if they are not returned within 10 days. The movies have had plenty of mail time to reach them.

I'm sure that my card has been charged again... Won't know for sure until my banking info is updated!

I had received movies that could not be watched, I have tried to be a good customer, what else can I do? In the FAQ's for the site, one of the?'s is: What do I do if the DVD is lost in the mail? The answer is: Let us know and we will handle it! They know how to handle it alright!

Does anyone have any advice? This is just plain silly! Anyone who may be interested in online movie rental, BEWARE!
