I should have found this site earlier before ever trying Netzero. What a nightmare! Back in March I decided to try Netzero have seeing how wonderful their customer service is and was cheaper than AOL. I have been on AOL since 1993 and never had any problems! But I got stupid thinking I could save some money. It told me signing up there was an error and so I could never even connect with Netzero. I had attempted technical support and was told to call. However to do that meant using up my cell minutes etc. So instead I decided to cancel it. It took me four days to get through to them to cancel my account, because I was on hold anywhere from 30 -45 minutes at a time. Finally when I got through they told me I didn't have an account with them. WHAT? But when the first of the month came I had a charge. I called them back and because it was after 30 days I could only cancel. Today I check my account a little more carefully and see I am still being charged. Evidentially I had a SECOND account? Trying to get through to these people they are rude and do not let you finish a sentence. I work in a call center and know how the calls can be, but I would hate to be these people to be so awry and rude to customers every day. My customers make my day. I will NEVER let anyone signup for Netzero! This is a bunch of garbage to see the amount of complaints out there on them and for them to continue to false advertise how wonderful their customer service is. Thanks for letting me vent. To anyone who reads this, I hope you check your checking account regularly to see what they are charging you for. Today there were two other companies I had deal with and they were BEYOND WONDERFUL! Netzero has got to be one of the worse companies out there! And just to be nice, I am copying this and sending it to them as well.
Thanks for providing this site so we can warn others about Netzero. For something that has never worked has cost me about $50. I will stick with AOL at least I don't get charged double for an account supposedly I don't even have!
