According to the site's own blog statement:
As of May 15th new members will no longer be able to read incoming email until they have been a member for two months. Standard members can only read mail sent by a paying member if the paid member has purchased the additional "Standard Member Contact" feature."
What they don't explain is that for unpaid members, their system automatically deletes all messages over 30 days old. So by the time a new member has been on the site long enough to qualify to READ email - innumerable messages have already vanished!
I got a gold ($30 a month) membership 6 months ago. At that time, AFF said I would have UNLIMITED email access to ALL members. But now, they've changed it so that when I email an unpaid member, that member can't even READ the message unless I pay an ADDITIONAL $20 per month.
Excuse me, but that is a limitation on MY email access!
Do you think that the US postal service would get away with a policy like that???
What if mail carriers walked past your house every day waving a stack of mail in front of you and taunting you - Oh, you have allllllllll this mail, but you can't have it until you've lived here for 60 days - and by the way - we only hold mail for 30 days, so it'll all be shredded before you get it!
Phhhhhhhhhhh...
They have breached the terms of service I agreed to when I signed up.
