I sold a figurine, on April 26th, on ebay, to Benjamin Zucker for $334.01 US including shipping and handling. I received payment of $327.01, which was short by $7, by money order on April 30th and emailed him to say I would ship the figurine as I was sure the $7 was already in the mail. The day he got the figurine, I had a debit to my US account in the amount of $327.01 (the amount he had paid). I tried to call him but his number was disconnected so I reported that to ebay and then emailed him. I waited half a day and then I decided to file a dispute on ebay. He replied to the dispute by claimiing over and over that "I believe it cleared"..."to my knowledge it cleared" etc etc. As soon as I received the money order with the attached form saying the money order couldn't be cashed because of "stopped payment" I emailed him a scan of both the money order and the document stating reason for debiting my account..."Payment Stopped". He continued to reply to my emails saying that the check had cleared and wished my luck (sarcastically) collecting payment. I checked his phone number again late in May on ebay and found that he had put a valid phone number on his contact information (ebay must have forced him to do this as it is against policy... You must have a valid number). I called this number and left a message asking him to call me back so we could resolve this issue. When he didn't return my call, I called the next day... As soon as I told him who was calling, he hung up the phone. I called back a few hours later to have his wife answer and admit she was the wife of Ben Zucker... And then told me never to call this number again. I tried resubmitting the money order in case it was a bank error but it has been returned again with "stopped payment" as the reason for not being cashed. I don't know what else to do... Ebay has not been of any help. He will not pay or send back the figurine.
