Sends fake emails towards the end of your subscription Ripoff Dallas

This is an email I received 4 days (May 18th) before my Match.com membership expires, I actually pre-emptively cancelled my account before May 22nd (the day it expires) to make sure I never ever get charge for their service again, which I read they do a lot:

(actual email)
How ya doing? I saw your profile and thought you sounded like someone to get to know. My profile isn't over flowing with info so here's a little bit more about me. I'm 25 and live with my dog Isabella. I just finished school and will be starting work as a surgical tech next month. I'm no drama queen, i try to stay pretty low key but always up for an adventure. I have 3 tattos, the piercing thing never works out for me. I try now to make too many plans because who knows whats gonna happen tomorrow. Sometimes i just wing it. If this sounds at all appealing to you, say hi back.

Hope to hear from you soon
Kate

This email is so obviously fake. Why? Because this person didnt indicate one thing about my profile that intrigued her enough to e-mail me. Usually when you email someone through a service like this they'll say - hey i see you like yoga, blah blah blah. This email fails to identify anything that was taken a liking to about my profile. Also, this person did not have a profile photo and only had one generic paragraph of info on her profile.

It seems that if someone is going to pay an arm and a leg for the service they would put their picture on there and write more than 5 sentences about themselves and CERTAINLY would write a more compelling email.

I PRINTSCREENED all of my cancellation screens and emails which all indicate I will never be charge for the service after the account expires, I fear I will as I read fresh reports about people being charged after getting a confirmation of their cancellation.

Their customer service is rude and uncaring.

Another thing is Match.com makes you subscribe to send emails and winks to other users, however they DO NOT show you who else is a current subscriber. For example, if you like a few people and you email them and dont hear back you might feel rejected, however a Match.com customer rep said not all profiles with photos were paying members and therefore wont be able to see or respond to my emails anyway. It would be nice to see a photo of a person you like and see that they are currently a paying member rather than blindly emailing people who probably arent members and will never see your email.

Why pay for a service to contact people who wont be able to contact you back?

I hate hate hate Match.com and feel extremely cheated. My going away gift from the company is a generic email enticing me to stay on board. I hope others read this and stay away from that company or at least can co-miserate with my experience.
