This is a company that buys used Music CD's and Movie DVD's over the internet so they can resell them to others.
On 2/15 and 2/16 2007 I checked and researched the value of my various CD's and DVD's on their site and was given a total for a check that I would receive in about 10 business days after they received my items through the US Mail.
I was then given instructions on where to send them and was told that after inspection on their side, I would receive a check. (10 business days)
They also asked for a CREDIT CARD # and my DRIVERS LICENSE #. I was told that the credit card number was in case they needed to charge me to return items that didn't meet their final inspection and the Driver's License # was so they could have additional information in case the items had been stolen and sold to them, and they needed to identify me to the police.
On 2/16, I sent the CD's and DVD's paying for the postage and insurance. On 2/21 I rechecked their web site to see if an update had been posted and whether my items had been received. I also checked the tracking #'s from the post office. The web site did not say that they had received my items but my post office tracking # confirmed that my boxes had arrived at their destination.
On 2/21/07 I jotted them an email to ask why my account had not been updated. I did NOT receive an email but the next day, I checked their website again and it had been updated pending payment.
I thought it would now take 10 business days for a check to arrive. Since it is now well past the time limit, I decided to call and have called several times. I have also emailed the company. When I call, all I get is voice mail and no call back. When I email, I don't get any response. I have done this 6-7 times over the last week (both phone calls and emails) and they should have gotten back to me by now.
There isn't any way to get in contact with a real person on the phone. No dial zero for operator. It's just a machine and that's it.
They owe me $226.94. I am also out postage and insurance for an additional $25.00. I have used another service similar to this and they got me my check within a week. They paid less so I thought I would give uzed.com a try. The actual value of the CD's and DVD's is probably much higher than they are paying me, but it was easier than selling them on Ebay.
I just want my money that they owe me.
Yesterday, I filed with the FBI, The BBB, another consumer advocates office. Still no response.
