Ripoff fraudulent selfish dishonest costly waste lifedestroye

ComputerTraining.com? Hmmm... Where should I even begin!? What I am going to do is explain my feeling about this dishonest ripoff piece of junk "business" and then share a few emails from some of my classmates.

First of all, computertaining.com is the biggest mistake you will ever make! Anybody reading this considering going there, don't do it! I spent 6 months in this so-called "course" and did not benefit at all. We crammed 2-4 chapters in a night (4 hour period, with breaks) and even skipped some of the coursework to fit it into a 6 months.

On the first day they gave us the schedule and layout of the coursework... And we skipped a ton of it! Our class basically consisted of our instructor reading to us out of a book that I could have just purchased online or from Microsoft anyway! I could have done this all on my own for under $1,000 and yet I have a huge bill I cannot pay from computertraining.com in the amount of $24,500 and counting... With the outrageous interest!

By the way, in case you didn't guess already... No, I didn't get a job yet. As a matter of fact, everyone in the class had a hard time with that. But see, I didn't even have the chance to get my certifications because of how bad and unprofessional the classes were.By the time I learned the stuff on my own, the vouchers they gave me expired!

I didn't even have reliable transportation to the school at first and the sales associate Emily Chambers told me "Don't worry about it, were gonna get you in these classes and it will be well worth it". Was it well worth it. NO! Now I can barely think straight anymore with all of the financial stress this has caused. I have even had interviews with really good companies. But they hire someone else because apparently they are looking for someone that has something better than "computertraining.com" on their resume.

You don't even get any degree from the school, just certifications. A lot of good jobs require a degree these days. My graduation certificate was actually printed off an inkjet printer!

Oh, and before I show some of the emails from my classmates, I just wanted to add that the highest graduate in my class, who also obtained all of his certifications is now working for the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Can you believe that!?

The main selling point that got me was something like: "Why worry about the $24,500 loan when you can easily pay it back when your settled in your new job making $50,000 - $80,000 a year". That was a straight out lie!

The class was so bad, and we fell behind so far, that the instructor actually condoned cheating materials for the exams and even pointed us in the right direction on where to find them! She let a classmate pass out a cd the practically contained all of the answers to the MCP, MCSA, and MCSE exams. I wonder why? Probably because she knew that if the class didn't come out "educated", there would be a lot of complaints. Well, there still are... Here are a few from my class:

Hey Rob,
I agree with you 100%. It was a HUGE waste of money. I have no job to show for it and a fat bill every month. I get turned down for stupid call center jobs because of a lack of "Real Job" experience. I must have went to 15 interviews to be turned down for all of them due to lack of experience because some one else had more experience. Well how the hell do I get experience if no one is willing to hire me even for the most mundane tasks.

I feel raped and ripped off big time.

Rick

Rob,
I agree with u 100%, it is definately a shady con business for sure. The reason they don't want people who have a ton of computer experience is because they realize it is a rip off. They take advantage of the people who don't realize what jobs IT has to offer and in demand and the cost of the certificaiton tests. You also forgot to mention the job situation, I highly doubt everyone from our class has a job yet in the IT Field. James Hollis and I work for first level technology, and make a whopping 11 bucks an hour, not even using the stuff we learned in class.

I understand Michigans economic burdens but G*, it's ridiculous of all the stuff that was stated and promised that never happened. I wouldn't know how to go about and ruin them legally, but I am sure if everyone who is displeased with them takes a stand and we all put are heads together we could think of something. If u aren't displeased with them and u like wasting money on that something is wrong with those p eople.

Did they at least find u a job bro? Cause everyone was definately complaining about not being able to find work.

Later,
Chris
Yeah, they took us for a ride. Question is this - what exactly could be done about it?

I definitely agree...

Melvin

Robert,
I'll jump on and say yes I agree with you. I did get some training and info that I normally would not have known on my own but, I could have done it all alone. I actually downloaded all the books on Torrent, and even instructional videos, so that part I got ripped off on for sure. I also think it's stupid that we did ISA2004 as an elective when Exchange2003 and many other more useful certs could have been done.

So far I have completed 70-270,70-290, and 70-293 and am out of vouchers and already paying the loan back. (I missed passing 70-291 with a 687 after weeks of getting over 900 in selftest) The first 4 vouchers I got were given to me on the first day and were dated 1/18, the remaining three came weeks later in a sealed envelope and were dated 11/17!!!

So once I used all my 1/18/07 vouchers, in December, I opened the envelope to find the remaining three already expiredhow stupid of them! Give me the ones that expire first, last, and seal them up so I think they expire on 01/18/07. The big boss guy said they all would on expire on January 8the first day of class.

I really hope I can get some help with job placement once I finish my other 4 tests, otherwise, I'm gonna feel just like you do.

Good luck with whatever you try to throw back at them, I'll be here if you need any support.

Nick

Here are a few. It obviously looks like I'm not the only one that had some issues with this ripoff "business". Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help (preferably legal) would be greatly appreciated. I'm now stuck with a $24,500 loan from Sallie Mae Financial with interest that is just killing me. After computertraining.com, I don't even think I want to do computers anymore..
