I did not know I was going to need the exact dates for this, or that I was going to find other had reported this same company.in October my internet service would not work. It had been really slow, I have a modem I bought from Grande, (the second one), because the first one quit working. The internet would not open up, so I thought it was the modem. So I called the help no. And spoke to someone who could not figure it out. I waited a couple of days it still didn't work and I called again. The person I called tried to fix it over the phone, he couldn't, so he said he would have to send a repair man out the next day.
My grown son was home and let the repair man in. He looked out side for a moment, tried to fix something and then said it was my computor that there was something wrong with it. A few days later my internet starting working and has been working ever since. I get my November bill and I have a charge for $37.86 added to my cable portion for the repairmen who came out. I called and told them I was not paying this, first it was not the cable he looked at, and secondly he did nothing, there is nothing wrong with my computor, and I did not ask for the repair man to come out they sent him out, because they cannot fix anything. This person said he could not help me and a supervisor would call me back. No call ever came.
So I paid my November bill minus the $37.86. I get my December bill on December 7 and it has that $37.86 charge and my bill is past due, due upon receipt. The next day I get a notice that my cable will be cut off if I don't pay this $37.26 by Dec. 22. Dec. 13th I call again and I speak to a operator and a supervisor and they all say the same thing, the repairman said its your computor, so you have to pay for it. I asked how far I was paid up and they just wanted to know if I wanted the service cut off that day.
But since that call my internet is now as fast as it was when I first got it. I have had them out for my cable to, my picture just goes black in the middle of a movie, or program. I have had them out to repair it to and found out I am the only one on my block who has their service and they can't caliburate the signal right becasue they have no way to judge it. They have a monoply on the cable service here, so it's satelitte or them, also internet service to. I could get internet service through satelite reasonable if I could get another phone co. Not a good co. For cable, or internet. I'll switch to satelite again.
