I joined Stamps.com a while back, figuring it might be convienent. UNfortunately that was not the case. After spending several days and going through the online help I could not get any of their stamps or lables printed correctly. I often print this type of thing without a problem so this really bugged me.
To make a longer story shorter, I decided it was not worth the hassel and cancel. Well... I called the customer service number about 5 times at different hours over the course of a week. After being on hold for 45 min, I thought the line went dead so I hung up. 5 times!
I then called my credit card company to stop charges since by now my free trial was over. My credit card company told me I had no case because I had not yet cancelled the membership, therfore my charges were valid. After explaining that I have been trying to cancel, but they never answer the phone, I was told to try to cancel one more time.
After finally getting through I explained my situation and was told that since this is the first call they recieved from me all charges, plus a charge for the current month will remain on my bill. The credit card company was able to help at this point, $15.99 was credited to my account for the month I was charged for AFTER I canceled! Final loss $45.00.
