Ripoff Tried To Get Item I Was Selling At Various Newspaper Ad Sites

I put 2 items I wanted to sell on 4 or 5 different Newpaper sites on the internet. They were put on there advertising pages under Miscellaneous.

I started receiving emails from a lot of individuals with the same or near the same wording in their paragraph that said they were interested in purchasing my item. Either for themselves or for a client. This is basically what it said:

"I am interested in purchasing your item with no delay, but first? What is the final price of the items? Is the price firm? Will you be accepting a money order or cashier check. Contact me with the present state of the item and your contact information to mail out the payment to you as soon as possible. Name you want on check: Home Address: City: State: Country: Phone Number/Office Number: Regards SASHA"

This doesn't seem like a rip-off but after 20 or more letters (with other info on most of them) you know it is a rip-off. I tried to email a couple to get further info and some were not available at the email address.

At first I thought it was a legitimate sale but after so many and they wanted to send extra money for me to send to a shipper, it started sounding like they had gone to a school to learn how to rip off people. They wanted to send me the money, I am to send the shipper the extra. They would arrange to come to my house with their shipping company and pick up the items. They could only pay with money order or cashiers check.

I would have been stuck with a bad check and they would have my item and the extra money I would send them.

More reports will follow. There was not enough room on this page to list them all so I decided to do one at a time.

I want these people brought down! I want to stop them from scamming me or some elderly person or young person who knows no better. There has to be a law to stop this.

Even if I had received a legitimate offer for my items I would have been afraid to deal with them. Who can you trust?
