This is the text of my email to Amazon.com. It is in reference to an order placed through their beta grocery store. It says it all;
In short, my bank account has had ELEVEN authorization holds placed on it in five days, for one order, in the amount of $145.85 each.
This is almost $1,500 for $150 order!
I have been on the phone and back and forth through emails several times a day with you guys for three days.
Yesterday I canceled the order and today found three more "holds" (I discovered this when I tried to put gas in my car and my card was rejected!)
My fear is that this will not end. Will you guys continue to just randomly freeze my bank account?
A few glitches with a beta store is understandable. But to continue doing this after I called about it, and after I received the "due to a technical error which has since been fixed " email, and to place three holds after I canceled the order is way over the top.
I have not been able to buy groceries or gas since I placed my order with Amazon Grocery, because my bank account is in the negative!
It's just a technical error to you guys but in our family we can't go for a drive or pick up a movie for the weekend, and my children can't understand why we can't just go to the store to get cereal.
What guarantee can you give me that Amazon will not continue to help themselves to my bank account?
