I received an email from someone asking to verify my Paypal account. At first I refused to do so and emailed Paypal to see if it was on the up and up. However before they got back to me I went ahead and confirmed my bank information and a credit card as well. Afterwards I received an email from paypal saying that it was not them and this was probably just a spoof. My bank is already closed so I can not contact them. However I will contact my credit card company and I have left messages and emails at the bank. Unfortunately they probably will not get them until Monday. I will try to contact their main Priority service tomorrow (they are opened for half a day on Saturday). I am attaching the spoof here so you can see it for yourself. I will also forward this to the BBB to see if they can do anything with it. [email protected]
