I received a call from US Online America Group asking me to considre an affilitate internet marketing deal to promote Direct TV and Dish Network. I am very familiar with these approaches and I am already an affilitate for another major company. I have just begun with the other company and want to see how that works before any other ventures.
Well, when I told the salesperson from US Online I was not interested, the response was not to ask why but to say, "That is because you are lazy and out of work. You expect to earn alot of money and make no investment." I responded, "Excuse me. What did you say. You don't have a clue as to my reasons." His response was, "Yes I do. You are lazy and I would not want you on the team now no matter what."
At that point I said, " While you are ranting at me I have checked you out on usacomplaints.com and there are complaints about the company. His response was, "In 5 years there have been 11 complaints all resolved satisfactorily by the Better Business Bureau. That just shows you are lazy and stupid." I then proceeded to hang up.
To me, any legitimate company with a business proposition, even with some risk involved, is not going to have this type of approach. I can't imagine what they are like to deal with as an affilitate. Utterly appalling!
