I went to a site to try and download a free ringtone. Unbeknownst to me, apparently a company called Blinko passed on information to a company called dirtyhippo that I wanted to receive horoscope text messages. I'm the last person in the world that would request horoscope text messages!!! I've asked them to provide proof as in contract or email confirmation that I agreed to this service, but as of yet have not received a straight answer. Here's the last response i got from them:
Dear Customer,
You have successfully deleted 1217 (My phone #) from all services. You will not continue to receive billed messages each month. We cannot reverse billing activity prior to the cancellation of this service. However, you will not continue to receive billed messages each month. We apologize for the inconvenience. Your download experience is important to us. We will make every possible effort to resolve the problem you are having so that you may enjoy your high quality download.

FIRST OF ALL... I never got a chance to download anything... I was totally clueless as to what had happened after going to that site. All i know is the next day I started receiving these horoscope text messages. So I've emailed them several times and will continue to keep you updated with the results. I've also threatened them that I would go to the Attorney General and the BBB, but from a previous report on here it doesn't look like it scared them any.
