I tried to cancel Internet book order just 30 minutes after placing it online (due to bad, online post-order experience). Company said it was too late, and I had to wait until the books were refused delivery by me and shipped back.
Books were delievered and left on my front step several days later, and I returned them personally to the UPS depot near my home. I called Family Christian when they were returned, and was told by customer service the refund would be expedited when books are physically recieved at their dock.
They recieved the books on December 21 and here it is the 27th. No refund issued from their offices. I called them today and they said they did not recieved the books yet, however I told them to look at the UPS tracking site where it confirmed their receipt of the books on the 21st. Twice today I called, and they said they would call me back. They never did. I had to call their parent company (BBC America Shop, yes, the same BBC Broadcasting Company based in England) to find out what was going on.
BBC said my refund will be in two weeks. What happened to the "We'll send it out when we get the books back?" Family Christian Stores is not a Christian company... It's just another secular bookstore owned by a secular company.
