I never signed up for any services, so I don't really know how they got my information. I looked at an offer from dealpass, but I never confirmed an account number or authorized any transaction. However, the same day as I made a small but substantial deposit to my bank account, THREE separate transactions occured, from THREE different numbers, EACH for $14.95!
Within the course of a day they took approximately $45 from my account without my knowledge; had I not checked my online statement, I wouldn't have known for another month.
Upon trying to contact any of these numbers, I was met with a message saying my number was "invalid". When I looked up the numbers online, each was associated with a website offering the exact same thing, none of which I signed up for!
I emailed two of the companies. Within a few hours I received THE EXACT SAME EMAIL from each telling me they'd received my email and would respond within 1-2 business days. I'm not taking any chances; I contacted my bank, made them aware of this fraudulent activity, and am having my card closed. I'm just sorry any of this happened, and hope somehow I can get my money back.
