Comp usa in st. Louis missouri advertised a $99 computer. There was a limit of one per store. Fair enough, i was number ywo in line prior to the opening of the sunset hills store, here in st. Louis. The moment the store manager opened the door, he spoke to the first person in line and told him that he could go to the back of the store and an employee would help him with the $99 computer. I asked the manager what was going on and he said that the person was in line forst so the computer was his. I maintained that the only fair way to do it was open the door and allow each of us an equal opportunity to find and purchase the computer.
I called the manager, the district manager and emailed the president of the company.instead of comp usa trying to make things right with me and the community at large, the tried to make me a bad guy for complaining. I called and reported the company to the better business bureau and the state of missouri's attorney general. Both entities contacted the company, but the problem was never resolved.
I've found that any reputable electronics dealer: office depot, office max, best buy, circuit city, etc, will honor the comp usa price on an exact item. Be careful, comp usa'a ad today has a not in the tag of the advertised price that says see additional saving in store. Look up the item on their web sight and put the item in a cart, it will tell you the true sales price and office depot will love you for it.
These people at comp usa care only about money. They've let me complain for a year or more after obvious misconduct on the part of the stores management. Thanks for the voice
