Stupid, stupid, stupid me!
I called a phone number I had found online, just to see what they had to offer. My initial instinct was that the offer sounded too good to be true — they were going to help me drive traffic to my website and guide me every step of the way so that I could make money online.
Against my better judgement, I forked out $99 by credit card — a reduced rate because I didn't think I could afford the $149 they were asking for — and the man on the other end of the line told me that a package would arrive by mail and that they would be setting up a website for me to get me started. He gave me a customer service number and his phone number and direct extension.
After a week of waiting for the package to arrive, I called Traffic Designs, spoke to the man who had signed me up, and he assured me that it can take a good ten days to receive everything by mail. I was skeptical, but felt better that I had actually been able to reach the same person who had signed me up.
Several days after I spoke to my enroller, I got a call from my personal "business coach" who seemed "surprised" when I told him that I had not gotten any of my materials yet. He said to give it a few more days and asked me to call Traffic Designs when I got the package so that we could begin my training. It is now approximately one week later and I still have not received the package.
I tried calling Traffic Designs this morning, but I cannot reach them yet because of the time zone difference. I am writing this not ahead of my phone call in case anyone reads this before making the same mistake. I am starting to see other complaints with regard to this company and I just want to prevent others from doing the same thing that I did.
We all want and need to make money but, sadly, I think that the good old fashioned way of working is going to be the only surefire way to achieve that goal. Nothing I've tried online has worked and I've lost more money than I care to admit to in the process.
