Luxuryfree.com / is one of those sites that has you sign up for a free offer, you refer your friends to the site, and you get your free gift (the gift is a name brand purse). I signed up for one of their offers (Netflix membership) and had about 10 of my friends sign up. A week went by and the credit that was supposed to show up on my account for signing up for the free offer wasn't there.
On 2/15/05 I went to customer service and asked them when I would get my credit for registering with Netflix from their site. Their responce was "NetFlix is giving us a little trouble and taking a little bit more time than we expected to provide us with credits for signups. If you do not see your credit listed in the next few days, please let us know."
On 2/22/05 I went back to customer service and told them I still hadn't recieved my credit and asked how much longer it was going to take. I got no responce to that question. On 3/3/05 I submitted another question demanding to know when my credit would be issued and if I was ever going to get my purse. Still no responce to either question. I also know for a fact that some of my friends who signed up for Luxury Free also fulfilled a free offer and they also have not recieved their credit or their purse.
Now, today (3/9/05), I tried to go to my account on Luxury Free. I logged in, hit the "My Account" link to go check on my account to see if the credit had finally been issued, but my account page was blank. It was nothing but a black page. Either they have deleted my account, or they're having problems with their site.
