I went to an Options Made Easy free workshop and they stated that they have a great software program which is composed of 7 proprietary indicators. They gave a real great sales pitch that this program was so simple that even a 10 year old could trade options and make money with it. They stated we could take the program home for 30 days and try it for free and that they would even throw in the first month of data feed fees for free. If we were not satisfied we could return it.
I purchased the program for 3,000 and 2 weeks later attended their class to get instructions on how to fully use the program. 2 days after taking the class and getting a better understanding of the program I figured out that all they are selling is a program which follows the moving average of the stock. This is something that I get for free from my online brokerage firm along with not having to pay monthly data feed fees on top of the 3,000 for the program.
What a scam, they charge 3,000 for the program then in order to run the program you have to pay a data feed charge of 50 dollars a month. The 7 proprietary indicators they claim are incorporated into the program is a lie as I have tested their system against the my own charting system (and I can program the lines to be red and green as their program) using the 9/18 moving average and get the same results.
I then sent back the program along with all course work and deleted it from my computer within 15 days. I contacted the people at Options Made Easy and requested my money back. They refused and now I'm in the process of contacting consumer agencies such as the BBB and CFTC, Commodities Futures Trading Commission. I am also working with my credit card company. Obviously, they lie when they say you can take the program home for a 30 day free trial.
For those of you who may be familiar with the program all it is is the 9/18 moving averages.
Short term indicator is a 10 minute (2 day) 9/18 moving average Mid term indicator is a 60 minute (2 week) 9/18 moving average
Long term indicator is a weekly (1 year) 9/18 moving average
For those of you contemplating getting the program save your money there is no easy way of trading options and certainly not with only using moving averages. I have also learned that the founder of Global Tec Solutions, George Thompson does not actively trade in the stock market. Why should he, he makes millions selling this crap to unsuspecting individuals.
