For about a year I used to work for these crooks — before I realized what the hell was going on and got the hell out of there.
Their whole game was to sell a fear-based product via popup advertising, and to then make it really hard for people to get refunds. See
http://www.internetwasher.com or
http://www.systemsoap.com
They also don't tell you up front that when you buy their product that they're actually signing you up for a 'subscription' that will renew once per year.
As an employee for them I used to have to run test transactions, and I did so using my own personal credit card account. Low and behold, a long while after I had nothing to do with them, I saw a charge show up on my Via card for $79.95 from "Internet Washer." A "renewal" fee I suspose. Well I immediately and gladly disputed the charge and my bank took care of it.
But if you have come across a charge from InternetWasher on your credit card account, dispute it with your bank immediately. If you want to know who is responsible, this is the main guy and his wife/girlfriend:
Josh Steinberg
Juliette Sussman
