I joined Netzero in May of this year and was satisfied with their service. However, when I purchased a new computer in November, and could not recall my password, I called customer service. After being shunted to and from different departments, I finally spoke with someone who told me he could transfer me to a technical service agent, but the call would cost me $1.95 a minute! Well, that was the end of that conversation and I decided to cancel. Of course, in order to do this, I was put on hold again and after waiting for close to 10mins I hung up.
After accessing my account using a different computer, I called the cancellation department. I was told that I should have been given a 'free courtesy call' for my password, but assured that my service was cancelled from that point on, and I was given a confirmation #. Lo and behold, my credit card was billed for the December cycle. I called to cancel again AND get a refund and was assured again that my service was cancelled. This time, I requested the name and direct line of the woman who helped me and now we'll wait and see. Do not trust them.
