I tried the free product Suvaril (for weight loss) based on a recommendation by a friend. I did not recognize any results. I originally ordered the "free" trial sample on 8/10/04. I received it about a week later. Their policy is that if you do not cancel within 30 days they will autoship you a 90 day supply for $70. I cancelled it on 9/13/04 from their website. I didn't realize it had been more than 30 days because I was thinking that I had 30 days from the time I received the product, not 30 days from the day it was billed to my credit card.
They shipped the 60 day autoshipment to me on 9/7/04 (less than 30 days) and billed my card $70 on 9/4/04. I called to complain that I had been charged and said I would send the product back. They offered to send me 2 months free of another product or I could send the product back and receive a $35 credit. After a very heated discussion where I promised to write this report and expressed my dissatisfaction with the way they did business, I asked to speak to a supervisor.
While on the 10 minute hold I went to their website were they state as of 9/4/04 consumers are entitled to a full refund "no questions asked" (minus a $10 processing fee) after they received the product via certified mail. The supervisor suddenly remembered that this was the policy and would credit me an additional $25 after they received the prodcut ($35 for the promise of the return and $25 after the return)
They claim that they do not resell their unopened returned products. Based on their business practices as I see them, don't believe this. I'm out about $15 to try their "free product" that did not work for me.
BUYER BEWARE!!! If my experience is common, this company will NOT be around long.
