I work for Wyndham Vacation Ownership, a rather large company with several thousand employees here in Orlando. We have an on-site nurse practitioner as part of our benefits. Due to my high blood pressure and racing heart, she urged
me to go see a cardiologist and recommended the Oviedo office of Orlando Heart Associates specifically.
Today, I called the number I was given and followed the prompts to make a new patient appointment. After being on hold for a good ten minutes, I was thrown to a recording that told me to leave my name and number and someone would
get back to me. An hour later, I got a call from Princess. I could not pick up the call as I was busy at the time. Princess left me a voicemail with no direct extension to her or one of her colleagues.instead, she told me to dial the
same number I had called. She sounded very unbusinesslike and not interested at all in actually helping me. I called the number she told me to dial, and after ten more minutes of holding, I got thrown to the SAME RECORDING telling me to
leave the SAME MESSAGE!!!
I am appalled that they allow this to go on in their practice!!! When I call a doctor's office during working hours to set an appointment, I expect to speak to a live individual, not some recording!!! I definitely don't expect to hold for such a long time, then get told that someone would get back to me!!! Orlando Heart Specialists has shown me that I cannot get help from them when I need it!!! Rest assured, I will not be seeing any of their doctors and I plan to tell our nurse practitioner not to recommend any of my colleagues to them!!!
If this is how they handle their phone calls, I can only imagine what they do with their patients!!!
