I called to order a free trial of Altovis. I talked to a Rep to make sure that I did not get charged more than the shipping for the free trial.
The Rep told me about the automatic shipping of the product and the automatic billing also. I explained that all I wanted was the trial and if I decided to buy the product after I tried it I would call and order it at that time.
I made sure to ask the Rep if this was possible and the Rep agreed. I also asked the Rep to make sure twice that I would only be billed on the shipping for the trial.
The Rep told me that I would only be billed for $4.50. She also said that if I decided at a later date I could order and would not be billed until I did so.
On the 3rd of May I was charged 70 dollars to my account causing an insufficient funds on 3 checks. So not only did I pay seventy dollars for product I did not want but also 100 dollars in bounced check fees.
When I contacted Berkeley I was told basically I am S.O.L. And I can only get 35 of my 170 dollars back. I have filed a dispute with my Bank and an online complaint.
I hope others do so also to stop scumbag, lying, scamartists like these who keep taking advantage of hard working Americans.
