In January I joined my local Ladies Workout Express. I was impressed with the establishment and signed a two year contract.
Shortly after joining I injured my foot and was unable to excercise. I was told by Customer Service to file a Verification of Disability Form signed by my doctor. My doctor advised me that with my injury the only excercise I could do from then on was swimming which didn't put any pressure on my heel. When I tried to explain this to Ladies Workout Express, they told me that they could "freeze" my account until I could return. This of course did me no good because I can't ever use their establishment again.
Now I am stuck paying $40.00 a month on a gym I cannot use. A total of $1,348.25! I have written to several different people within the company and so far no one has acknowledged me at all. I am writing on this forum in desperation. I guess my next course of action is obtaining a lawyer to settle the matter. I hate to do this, but I really can't see paying for a facility I can't use. Anyone thinking of signing a contract with these people should think twice!
