Scott Connelly and long time co-conspirator, Peter Hobman steal from America's heartland
Peter Hobman, an old friend of Scott Connelly, got conned by the ultimate Con-man. Hobman clearly played a vital role in helping Scott Connelly to reinvent himself, again, by partnering with the Australian dairy conglomerate, Murray Goulburn Cooperative (MGC), where Hobman heads up a number of divisions. Together, Connelly and Hobman cook up a scheme to pilfer investors from America's heartland by claiming to have an irreplaceable and unique, patented and proprietary bio-active protein, called Whey Growth Factor Extract, or (WGFE). Of course this turned out to be utter nonsense and lab reports proved that WGFE was merely lactoferrin a common commodity whey fraction, easily obtained through numerous domestic manufacturers.
Regardless, Connelly and MGC, with Hobman clearly on the take from the inside, initially set out to market WGFE through a loose domestic joint venture, but failed miserably, selling less than $10k a month in total product.
