Do not sign up for Lucille Roberts, unless you want to be scammed. I signed up at the 8th Avenue/40th Street location in NYC - for one year. I chose Lucille Roberts b/c it was located directly across from my place of work. They closed that location 2 months later and sent me to another location within 25 miles of my work place. Obviously, this was no longer convenient, and therefore I was not going to use it. I tried to cancel my membership. But they would not allow me to cancel. I had to pay for the year.
Additionally, when you contact customer service, it is really just 2 or 3 people answering a phone line and will only give you one answer NO. They would not allow me to speak to a manager, or let me know who the CEO / President is or the corporate address so that I might write a letter of complaint. They told me there was no other channel of recourse, and that either I pay or face being sued for what I would owe.
