I was gifted a couples massage for Christmas 2010 by my mother. She called Spa West and spoke with Nicole and paid over the phone for the gift certificate to be mailed to my home. I never received the GC and when my mom called Nicole at Spa West Nicole claimed there is no way to track the gift card they mailed and there is nothing they could do to resolve the problem.
I have a long history with Spa West, at least 2 years and thousands of dollars spent at their spa. I am terribly displeased with their neglect to rectify this situation. They can clearly review my client ledger to verify I have not used the one they claim they mailed December. Spa West is wrong and has been paid for a service without providing a service. The fault is theirs that they do not require a signature to verify receipt of the merchandise they mail. The fault is 100% Spa West and they should have issued another gift card for the same amount (approx $140-160/I have to ask my mom-she has the credit card statement) and taken this as a valuable lesson learned that for future mailings of gift cards they should include a confirmation and a signature.
Thoroughly displeased with the lack of customer service, especially, to a loyal customer. They receive a failure in my book.
And to add insult to injury, I have a credit there for prepaid services and they will not refund the credit. I have to use it or lose it, again, even though no services have been provided. Do not go to Spa West if you expect professional, fair treatment. Spa West has ZERO integrity.
