I also had a similar experience as report 452908. I did not have dental insurance so I was given a low-income discount to go there. They told me (even with the discount) what the prices were for x-rays, etc. And I couldn't believe it.
So I went to another place to have the x-rays done, etc. And brought them back to this dental clinic. They said they were fine what the other place did but they needed panoramic xrays also. SoI had those done at another place and also brought them back.
Then theysaid they would not accept the panoramics I had done at the other place. And the cost for themdoing their ownpanoramic xrays would be the original price they quoted me forboth the regular xraysI had done elsewhere (that they first said were okay) plus the cost of thepanoramic xrays that theyhadtoretake.
I wanted to get my teeth cleaned and I needed to have some fillings redone. The price they quoted me on this with my low-income was unbelievable. I even also asked people who worked at the hospital what they think of the prices this dental clinic charges and they said this place is overpriced.
I wonder if what you are paying for is the player piano in the lobby plus the waterfall they have and the car attendants, etc.
You don't need to be paying for all that plus I think their so-called low-income program is some kind of racket!!!
I told the dental clinic what I thought of them going back on their word. I also told the manager how I felt about their so-called low income program.
