My local Brookes pharmacy was bought out by rite-aid yet I continued to use them because of the convenience of rite being located 1 block from my home. I was getting a med that started out costing me 39.00 per 3 pills. Thereafter, each month the price went up and in a few months the price was now 69. Per 3 pills. I asked the pharmacist why the raises in prices or why each time I come forr the meds the price is raised. I was told the manufacturer of the drug is raising the prices so I called the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me that they were selling the pills to rite aid for only 3.00 per pil and that rite aid at their own discretion has been raising the prices. Think about this: they are paying 9.00 for three pills and selling them to me for 69.00 so that is a whopping 60. Oo profit. Also, they offer a sweepstakes via phone survey, but how come no one ever wins anything from it?
