Allegiance health management New Directions Rip-off Medicare & Medicaid Insurance & taking advantage of the elderly

Inspirations outpatient counseling center is a place where people attend group therapy for Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, mood disorders and so fourth. Basically anything to do with psych therapy. The group is suppose to get three 45 minute sessions but most of time they only get in 20-30 minutes per session.in order for you to be accepted into the program you must have medicare and medcaid as a supplimental insurance. Some other insurances are accepted if they pay for psych related services
Inspirations charges over $500 per person a day. When in the program everyone starts off at 5 days per week. This is only suppose to be a temporary program and typically last 3-6 months then the individual be discharged. Not the case at inspirations. They have been knowned to keep patients for 2 years and longer. So do the math $500 x's 5 days a week = $2500 per person a week then mulitply that times 104 weeks and that comes to $260,000 for a person who has attended the program for 2 years. WOW!!! At that rate they are going to eat up all medicare-medicaid money and there will be none left for the younger generations. What is wrong with this? Alot!
This could be a good program if ran properly. People just need a little boost to help their lives but instead inspirations keeps them forever making them dependent on the program to where they never want to leave. Alot of these folks are from the nursing homes and have no family so inspirations becomes their family sort of speak. To me this is taking advantage of the elderly and ripping off millions of dollars from medicare, medicaid and other insurance companies. No wonder we can't afford healthcare its rediculous!!!
The managemet at Inspirations is very poor. It is ran by a program director who is worried about one thing and that is numbers. The more people the better he or she looks. Thats all coorporate cares about is getting high numbers of people into the program to rip-off as much money as they can. The employees are off only 2 holidays a year, Christmas and Thanksgiving. If any other holiday falls between Monday-Friday they are open because they do not want to miss any money at all. They are really not worried about a persons well being but the actual dollar sign that they are worth. This is really sad. The therapist that work there are great people and the patients love them, but the therapist are very limited on materials for activities to help their patients because coorporate is too greedy to give back to the patients who keep their company going.
The Employees are not paid enough and the Van drivers who have a very hard job at getting the patients there are very underpaid. The turn over rate there lately has been very high mainly because of the person in charge at the Van Buren facility. He or she simply does not care about the employees, they lie and talk about employees to other employees and say things that should never be said. That is a real shame because when you are in management you should set an example and not be part of the problem.
I would strongly encourage anyone who has a family member in the program to remove them and try to find them another facility offering similar services if really needed. Most of the time they trick a patient into coming who doesnt have any psych problems at all and are just bored. Which is not justification to keep them in the program. They have also been known to admit severe Mentally Retarded patients or stroke victims so impaired they are unable to speak or participate at all. Alzheimers patients in the later stages have also been know to be admitted. When you ask the person what inspirations is or where they are going, they simply cant remember and have no clue. To me this is ripping off the insurance companies. IF they can't retain and maintain then they have no business being there.
So if you see someone from Inspirations coming after your loved one you better watch out. They are after 1 thing and thats your insurance money!
